LABOUR LAWS FOR HR MANAGERS AND LEGAL ADVISERS (ONLINE SEMINAR)

Perhaps no professional group needs the working knowledge of labour laws as much as HR managers do. The dynamics of modern workplace and the attendant complex legal implications pose a challenge to today’s HR managers and practitioners. In the course of their work, they are, on daily basis, confronted with the challenges of managing people and making decisions, some of which do have legal implications. The legal advisers (both in-house and external) are also often consulted by the HR departments for legal advise on staff matters.

Nigerian labour laws are not only complex but also continue to evolve. Many Nigerian labour legislations are being amended while some have been repealed and replaced with new ones. Recent case laws (i.e judicial decisions) is also redefining the law of labour relations in Nigeria. Consequently, a good knowledge of labour laws is a sine qua non for today’s HR managers and Legal advisers and it is against this background that this seminar is conceived. Participants will be exposed to the various facets of Nigerian labour laws especially those area that are critical to modern work place. Our approach shall be interactive and case studies based.
